Professional Master's Programs

Master's programs designed to prepare students to enter the professional science workforce
immediately after graduation are classified as "professional" master's programs. These
programs have the following characteristics in common:

A program developed in concert with industry that is designed to dovetail into present
and future professional career opportunities.

A program that is two years or close to two years (full-time equivalent) in
duration, including internship.

A program of basic study a natural science, mathematics or engineering which includes
interdisciplinarity courses provided by different departments within the universitity.
